The Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien (FTW) is a dynamic company with an international atmosphere that carries out application-oriented research in telecommunications. In order to strengthen our research team, we are seeking for a talented post-doctoral researcher with a strong background in packet networks:
Senior Researcher in the Area of Networking
Duties and Responsibilities:
We look for a talented scientist with high potential for leadership and project management, excellent communication skills, visionary and result-oriented.
As Senior Researcher, you will have the responsibility of leading national and/or international application-oriented research projects in the field of Networking, with particular focus on the topics listed below. You will lead small research teams and supervise Junior Researchers. Together with the Area Manager and other Senior Researchers you will contribute to shape the research agenda in the area and to forge future projects promoting the innovation transfer towards the industry partners of FTW. You will contribute to develop further the scientific standing of FTW by publishing on top-level venues and fostering international collaborations.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in a discipline relevant to wired/wireless IP Networks
- High-quality record of scientific publications in at least one of the topics listed below
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Proven record of collaborations with industry a plus
